APPLICATION
|
Molydisulfides are high shear load capable lubricants where conventional greases would be detrimental. Excellent for anti-galling, close tolerance as in stainless-on-stainless applications such as fasteners or sliding friction reduction. Classified in the thin film category of coatings. Depending on the formulation, can have excellent corrosion capabilities as well. Examples of the coatings CTI applies in this category are as follows: Everlube® 620C, which is a thermally cured MoS2 based solid film lubricant with a high molecular weight phenolic binder system. This coating provides very good wear life, chemical resistance, good abrasion resistance, is lead free and performs best in higher load carrying applications. Qualified to Mil-L-8937D, Mil-L-46010E, Ty1 and AS-5272
Ty1. ° +/- 25°F and post treated by burnishing.

Aerospace and Defense with typical applications on bearings, gears, splines and cams; Medical - valve components; Hydraulic fittings for Mechanical Components, and on seals, clamps and couplings for the Industrial Machinery and Equipment market. Everlube® 642 has the same properties as above, but has an epoxy binder system. It has excellent wear life, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance and is ideal for higher load carrying applications. Qualified to Mil-L-46010E TYII, AS-5272 TyII and PWA 474. Aerospace and Defense with typical applications on bushings, shafts, splines and cams; Mechanical Components - slides, guides and rails; Chemical Processing - virtually all fasteners; and threaded connectors and disconnects for the Industrial Machinery and Equipment market. Everlube® 9002 has the same properties as above but is low VOC. Qualified to Mil-L-46010F and GE A50TF303. Aerospace and Defense - virtually all fasteners; Industrial Machinery and Equipment - bearing and cams; Mechanical Components - gears and splines; Fasteners - engine ring seals. |
