The thin film category generally encompasses coatings with thicknesses below .003".
These types of protective coating systems include but are not limited to Teflon®s, molydilsulfides, metallic ceramics, zinc silicates and may or/may not include vapor or ion deposited or sputter coat systems.

Used in applications requiring a high level of performance and close tolerance dimension conditions. It usually excludes paints, primers, and other barrier type coating systems.

Aerospace, Automotive, Industrial, Marine, Military, Medical, etc.
